Valentine's Day and First Day of Blog

Well to start off with, I would like to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day and if you don't have someone special to spend your day with I'd hope that you would do something nice for yourself. We hardly do things for ourselves unless we are forced to.

I'm originally a New Jersian. I moved to upstate New York for awhile and then moved to Florida where I spent 10 years until we were hit by three hurricanes so we decided to move near family in Alabama.

We had to live with family for a few months and then found a house to rent where we stayed for a year and then found another house which we have been living for almost two years now. We are blessed with Christian landlords who take care of the house anytime we need them. They gave us the best ham I have ever made for Christmas. (YumYum)

I self-taught myself to knit for like 3 years now. I've wanted to knit when I was in my early twenties but it was so confusing. I bought those self teaching books, a nice set of knitting needles but I just couldn't figure it out so I put them away. Three years ago I said enough is enough, I am determined to learn how to knit so I took out my four books on how to learn to knit, my knitting needles and the newly-bought yarn and started my journey of knitting. I was so excited when I finally figured how to knit and I haven't stopped yet. I'm obsessed with knitting. So far I have knitted a pair of socks, baby sweaters, hats, booties, scarves. You name it I'm doing it.

I will be posting pictures of my work shortly.

I hope to hear from you all and happy knitting.

Cyndi
